TRTester is a portable set of measuring equipment used to determine the thermal resistivity of on-site soils near underground power cable circuits.

The results provided may be used in IEC 60287 cable current rating calculations.

Test probes are inserted into the soil and on-site readings of soil thermal resistivity performed. Equipment for on-site moisture content by weight may also be made.

The resistivity equipment is supplied within a rugged carry case and may be powered by a 12V car battery.
